» GE Intelligent Platforms has announced the availability of its Proficy Scheduler Release 4.1 software. The Albemarle County company says its Proficy Scheduler software will provide production planners with a standardized tool to develop schedules allowing for off-the-shelf software rather than homemade spreadsheets. The Proficy Scheduler software will also link plant data in real-time, providing the ability to accommodate changing production criteria.
» Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic recently announced that the clinic is expanding service to Albemarle County and the city of Charlottesville. Previously, the nonprofit dental clinic only served Culpeper, Greene, Madison and Orange counties. PRDC also announced that Dr. Jeff Laughlin has joined the practice. PDRC offers services for adults and children without insurance who meet eligibility requirements and children who are covered by Medicaid, FAMIS or FAMIS Plus.
