Knowledge Continuity Consultants LLC of Charlottesville was selected by Booz Allen Hamilton, a strategy and technology consulting firm, as a partner in a contract with the National Ground Intelligence Center in Albemarle County. The cooperative relationship will provide NGIC with the capability to capture critical knowledge from retiring intelligence analysts while accelerating the learning of new analysts. The work will continue through 2009 and the contract is subject to renewal.

Watson Manor received a Design Merit Award by the 2008 Remodeling Design Awards program. Charlottesville businesses Mitchell Matthews Architects designed the project and J. Nielsen & Co. completed the remodeling construction. Watson Manor was transformed from a turn-of-the-century mansion into a larger home for the University of Virginia’s Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture. The project was showcased in the October 2008 issue of Remodeling magazine.

 

Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine, headquartered in Charlottesville, was awarded a delivery order for the fifth year of a five-year contract to provide technical, logistics and material support for navigation systems installed on U.S. Navy ships and submarines.

 

2rw Consultants Inc. of Charlottesville is supporting Avid Energy and SL King & Associates on the commissioning and LEED consulting services for the Chatham Detention Center located in Savannah, Ga. 2rw Consultants will shepherd the project through the LEED certification process.
