l For the tenth consecutive year, Crutchfield.com earned a “Circle of Excellence” platinum award for Web site performance and customer service from BizRate Research, a division of Shopzilla. Crutchfield Corp. stands alone as the only online retailer to win the award for 10 consecutive years. Headquartered in Albemarle County, the company celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.

l The Virginia Economic Development Partnership announced the acceptance of Cableform Inc., of Troy, into its two-year Virginia Leaders in Export Trade program. The program assists exporters in the commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as an expansion strategy. Cableform provides design and supply of Digital DC Motor Control Solutions for severe-duty cranes, hoists, traction and magnet control applications in steel, mining, tunneling and traction industries. The company’s North American operations were established in 1974 in Troy. Cableform’s products virtually eliminate maintenance, increase throughput by 20 percent to 50 percent and reduce energy costs up to 80 percent.
