l John Strazzullo, M.D., has opened a new house call-only practice, Albemarle M.D. Strazzullo has practiced family medicine and urgent care in the Richmond and Charlottesville areas for more than 15 years. Through the house call practice he now offers one-on-one medical care to patients in their homes and offices. Strazzullo earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Virginia and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Performing Arts Medical Association.

l David Marotta of Charlottesville has received a $1,000 Award of Outstanding Merit from the Amy Writing Awards program, which encourages writers to apply biblical principals to contemporary issues. Marotta’s winning article, “Investing in Your Spiritual Wealth,” appeared in the Dec. 22, 2008, Charlottesville Business Journal section of The Daily Progress.
