Brad Chandler, senior partner of the Chandler Law Group, was honored in Atlanta by the Best Lawyers in America for being only one of 1,397 lawyers out of more than one million lawyers in the United States to be listed in the book “The Best Lawyers of America” for more than 25 years.

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce announced that the Loose family of Albemarle County, owners and operators of Tuel Jewelers, are the recipients of the 2009 Chamber Small Businesspersons Award. The award was presented to Mary Loose DeViney, her sister Frieda Loose Wagner and their mother, Frances Loose, at the chamber’s spring luncheon.

 

Lee McAllister of Charlottesville and Jay M. Dominic of Lake Monticello were named mortgage loan officers for Fulton Mortgage Co., a division of Fulton Bank. They will be responsible for developing residential loans in the Charlottesville office.

 

Kimberly Crenshaw of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Charlottesville was awarded the PACESETTER 40 award, which honors financial representatives who sell 40 life policies during their first six months in the business. Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Charlottesville is part of The Blue Ridge Financial Group.

 

Greg Webb, an attorney with the law firm of Michie Hamlett Lowry Rasmussen & Tweel, was named to the Building a Bridge board of directors. Building a Bridge is a Charlottesville nonprofit organization providing a family-like living environment for the full support of adults with traumatic brain injury. During his one-year term, Webb will oversee the wellbeing of the organization and serve as a resource of knowledge and counsel to the staff and executive committee.

 

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce established Leadership Charlottesville in 1982 as a chamber economic development initiative to serve member enterprises to help build a reservoir of informed, engaged dedicated civic leaders. Patricia May has joined the law firm of Michie Hamlett Lowry Rasmussen & Tweel as director of communications. She is responsible for external communications, client relations and community relations. May, a graduate of Leadership Charlottesville 2009, has more than 20 years of experience in community relations, employee communications and media relations.
