Marketing firms in region score at EMMA awards

MagniFire Marketing and Watermark Design took the top award Monday night at the Central Virginia chapter of the American Marketing Association’s annual EMMA Awards for Excellence in Marketing at the X Lounge.
MagniFire and Watermark received the overall marketing excellence award for their work on behalf of the Old Trail Village development in Crozet.
Payne Ross & Associates won the print collateral category for its Ron Brown Scholar Program 2008 campaign.
The University of Virginia’s Patent Foundation received an honorable mention in the print collateral category for its 2008 annual report.
In the print advertising competition, Payne Ross & Associates won again for its ad campaign for the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
Payne Ross won yet again in the TV advertising contest for its “Celebrating the New Downtown” campaign.
NBC 29 earned an honorable mention in the TV advertising category for its “Check Us Out” sweepstakes ads.
Intalgent won the Internet marketing award for a Web site it developed for health care technology company Meddius.
The Ivy Group received the logo/graphic identity award for Continuing Medical Education at the University of Virginia.
And Payne Ross won two more awards: one in the nonprofit category for its Immigration Advocacy Event project and one in the direct marketing category for its work on behalf of Mountain Lumber Studio.
