PVCC has 5 new faces on governing board

The Piedmont Virginia Community College Board has five new faces at its table.

Paul D. Newland Jr., Debbi Goodman and Stanley A. Cook will represent Albemarle County. Newland is a retired government employee. Goodman is a speech pathologist and freelance writer, and Cook works for the Environmental Protec-tion Agency.

Ava A. Pippin, who is a business education teacher, will represent Louisa County. Charlottesville representative Peter T. Kleeman owns a transportation and environmental consulting firm, Techniquest.

Governing bodies in PVCC’s service region appoint College Board members.

The new members will serve four-year terms that expire in 2012.

The new board remembers are replacing Fred Copeland, Virginia Bickley, John Davidson, Charles Gross and David Simmons.
