University of Virginia President John T. Casteen III will deliver the keynote address at the annual dinner meeting of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 18.

The chamber will also name the recipient of this year’s Paul Goodloe McIntire Citizenship Award at the event, which will be held at the Boar’s Head Inn Meeting Pavilion. The McIntire award recognizes outstanding citizen contributions to the greater Charlottesville area.

Casteen is in his 20th year as UVa’s academic leader, a period during which the university has undergone major restructuring, ambitious expansions and a multi-billion fundraising campaign.

He plans to retire in August.
