l Laura Knox of Albert State Farm Insurance Agency has been selected as a member of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Charlottesville Class of 2008-2009. The program is designed to help improve the community’s economic vitality and quality of life by building a “reservoir of engaged, dedicated civic leaders.”
l Brad S. Pace has joined Draper Aden Associates as a senior project surveyor. Pace has more than 19 years of surveying experience in the Charlottesville area as an instrument operator, crew chief and supervisor.
l Polly Black has joined BoldMouth Inc. of Charlottesville, a social marketing services and technology agency, as its senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Black holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business Administration and has more than 20 years of diverse brand marketing experience.
l Furniture maker Gary Dalton of Keswick was selected as a juried Virginia Professional Artisan with the Artisan’s Center of Virginia. Dalton opened his Keswick studio in 2005, where he designs and builds commissioned and original furniture pieces.
l John DeLacey has been hired as an assistant project manager at Martin Horn in Charlottesville. DeLacey previously interned as an assistant project manager in Portsmouth and is certified by the American Institute of Constructors as an associate constructor.
l Janet Brugh of Nellysford recently attended the Shaklee Global Conference in New Orleans. Brugh has been a social marketing entrepreneur in the corporation for 27 years.
l L.B. Chandler Jr. has been awarded membership in the prestigious legal organization The Verdict Club. Members are nominated by fellow attorneys, have experience in all major practice areas and have a reputation of extraordinary verdicts and settlements exceeding $1 million.
l Lance Nabers has been appointed clinical director at New Dominion School in Buckingham County. A licensed professional counselor, Nabers will provide full time clinical consultations to students and supervision and training to program staff.
