Timothy “Tim” P. O’Brien of Charlottesville has been named a representative for the state of Virginia to the International Game Fish Association International Committee by the IGFA. Representatives must demonstrate integrity and knowledge with respect to the recreational angling community at home and abroad. O’Brien has a lifelong history of community involvement and service on numerous boards, commissions and committees.
Hank Thiess has been hired by Wintergreen Resort as general manager of the luxury destination. Thiess is a 25-year veteran of the resort and recreation industry and most recently served as president/general manager of Durango Mountain Resort in Durango, Colo.
Charles Craddock of Craddock Insurance Services Inc. has been awarded the Accredited Adviser in Insurance designation and diploma by the Insurance Institute of America after attending AAI seminars and passing examinations that test for knowledge of insurance coverages, marketing concepts, selling techniques and sales management.
Paige Yurachek has joined the Charlottesville office of McGuire Woods LLP as an associate in the firm’s business and securities litigation department. She will focus her practice on securities litigation. Yurachek received her bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Virginia.
Rachel Miller, an employee of Southern States Cooperative in Charlottesville, attended a three-day training program designed to qualify her as a certified FeedMaster specialist. The program is designed to augment the knowledge of employees involved in advising customers on issues related to feeding various types of horses.
