Paul Spraggs Jr., of Leesburg and previously a resident of Fluvanna County, has been named a 2009 Black Engineer of the Year by the Career Communications Group. Spraggs is a program manager for Department of Defense contracts at SAIC in McLean.

Dawn Cromer of Charlottesville has been named director of marketing for all Bad to the Bone businesses, including Charlottesville Running Company, Bad to the Bone Endurance Sports and the Get Moving Charlottesville radio show. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Cromer coached the UVa cross country and track and field teams from 2003 to 2005. She will be overseeing all the marketing, philanthropic and education initiatives for the businesses.

 

Tom Kaufman was presented the MVP award in the Charlottesville sales region by the Virginia Lottery at the Lottery Sales and Marketing conference in Norfolk. Kaufman covers a sales area that includes all Virginia Lottery retailers in Charlottesville.
