l Lisa Allen has been hired as program director of Your Country 99.7 WCYK in Charlottesville. Allen is a 23-year radio veteran and spent the last 10 years as program director of a station in Maryland.

l David Merriman of Charlottesville has completed the Insurance Agent Career Accelerator Course at the University of Farmers in California. Merriman is an agent for Farmers Insurance Group.

l Yvonne Cunningham of Charlottesville and Cheryl Jones of Earlysville have become independent consultants with Tastefully Simple Inc., a national direct sales company featuring easy-to-prepare gourmet products.
