l Rosita Gonzalez, assistant professor of art at Piedmont Virginia Community College, has been appointed to a two-year position as business outreach coordinator for the Richmond Chapter of AIGA, a professional association for design. Gonzalez teaches communication design and helped to organize a PVCC student group affiliated with the AIGA Richmond Chapter. As business outreach coordinator, she will develop links between the design profession and local businesses. The Richmond AIGA chapter covers Central Virginia.
l Janie Hull of Charlottesville has been promoted to team leader with Tastefully Simple Inc., a national direct seller of gourmet foods. Hull earned the promotion through sales and adding new consultants, which entitles her to a variety of benefits such as commissions, bonuses, allowances and more.
l Frank Crum of Palmyra has been hired by ADT Security Services as a commercial sales representative. Crum brings over 15 years of technology sales experience to the position and will focus on providing intrusion detection, fire and life safety, video surveillance and access control systems to commerce and industry in the Charlottesville, Culpeper and northern Shenandoah Valley areas.
l Ashley Hightower and Carter East, A.C.E. certified personal trainers, have started Fitness At Home, a fitness coaching business devoted to renewing clients’ lives through fitness, nutrition and positive lifestyle reinforcement.
l Ben Hoelscher has joined the McKee Carson consulting firm as a summer intern. Hoelscher is a candidate for a bachelor of science degree in environmental sciences with a minor in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia.
