l Gov. Timothy M. Kaine has appointed James R. Boyd, a partner at Heyward Boyd Architects of Charlottesville, to the state Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers and Landscape Architects.

l Hantzmon Wiebel LLP, certified public accountants, has made the following additions to its professional staff: Donna (Suzie) Adams, staff associate; Melissa Steele, summer intern; Katherine West, A & A staff accountant; Sarah Aldridge, A & A staff accountant; Carrie Brubaker, tax department supervisor; and Chris Brubaker, tax department manager.

l Timothy Hulbert, president and CEO of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, recently completed an Institute for Organization Management program, an intensive, weeklong nonprofit leadership training program as part of a four-year, 96-hour course of instruction in association, chamber and nonprofit management.
