l The board of directors of Draper Aden Associates announced that Jeffrey N. Lighthiser PE will assume the role of chief executive officer and president in January. He is currently executive vice president and director of marketing and strategic growth and brings 33 years of engineering and management experience to the post. Lighthiser was instrumental in establishing the Richmond office, served as office manager for 22 years and also currently holds the position of site planning and engineering division manager and is a member of the board of directors. Bill Aden PE, cofounder of Draper Aden and current president and chief executive officer, will continue to serve as chairman of the board and will work full-time for the firm.

l Davidson and Kitzmann PLC announced that Virginia Business magazine has named John E. Davidson to its list of Legal Elite for the fifth consecutive year. Davidson’s practice spans areas of employment, appeals, health care, white-collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation.

l Donald R. Morin of Morin & Barkley LLP was chosen as the recipient of the 2009 Ronald D. Hodges’ award for significant and lasting contribution to the cooperative relationship between the professions of law and medicine.

l The Chandler Law Group announced that senior partner Brad Chandler was selected to continue his membership in the American Trial Lawyers Association and for simultaneous inclusion in “The 2008-2009 Top 100 Virginia Trial Lawyers.” Chandler is one of only 100 Virginia lawyers to be so nominated.
