l Kristin Lindgren Henningsen, CPA/ABV and Robert Gaskins, CPA/ABV, A&A managers at Hantzmon Wiebel, earned the Certified in Financial Forensics designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As qualified CPAs, Henningsen and Gaskins met the requirements, which include demonstrating both training and actual significant business experience in the area of financial forensics.

l Dolly A. Garnecki, D.C., director of Spinal Health and Wellness in Charlottesville, offers a new non-invasive, non-bracing alternative treatment for scoliosis, a disease that affects the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Garnecki is a member of the Virginia Chiropractic Association.

lMark Beall of Stanardsville received an award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency mid-Atlantic region for excellence in operating a small public drinking water system. Through his leadership and direction, the Woodberry Forest School has maintained perfect compliance for the past eight years and achieved optimal corrosion control treatment for the first time. Beall was nominated for this award by the Virginia Department of Health for his exceptional contributions to the Woodberry Forest School and its community.

l Brad Chandler, senior partner of The Chandler Law Group, was selected as one of the Elite Lawyers of America, Gold Member. The award recognizes attorneys who have had five or more cases resulting in a verdict, award or settlement in excess of $2 million.

l Byron Brown, Farmers Insurance agent in Charlottesville, was inducted into the Farmers’ Topper Club and invited to attend the 2009 annual meeting of Farmers’ top sales producers. Brown was recognized for outstanding sales achievements for 2008.
