Paramount announces new season
The Paramount Theater is bringing 17 acts to the Downtown Mall performance space for a busy spring season that will bring everyone from Ralph Stanley to Flat Stanley.
Ravi Shankar, the Chieftains, Cherryholmes and productions of the musicals “Seussical’’ and “Footloose’’ also are among the offerings.
Ralph Stanley will team up with Dan Tyminski for a Feb. 19 concert.
Tickets went on sale Monday for the Paramount’s Star Circle members and will go on sale Thursday to all Paramount members. The general public can start purchasing tickets on Nov. 20.
The new season will begin with a performance by the Dublin Philharmonic at 8 p.m.Feb. 9.

March 2: “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,’’ 8 p.m.
March 6: Russian National Ballet presents “Cinderella,’’ 7 p.m.
March 11: The Chieftains, 8 p.m.
March 14: Teatro Lirico D’Europa presents “Cavalaria Rusticana/Pagliacci Operas,’’ 8 p.m.
April 1: Juan De Marcos Afro Cuban Allstars, 8 p.m.
April 4: National Acrobats of China, 6 p.m.
April 5: Cherryholmes, 7 p.m.
April 9: “Footloose — The Musical,’’ 8 p.m.
April 15: The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, 6 p.m.
May 1: Ravi Shankar, 8 p.m.
May 5: Ballet Hispanico, 8 p.m.
May 8: The Jason Bishop Show, 7:30 p.m.
