Municipal Arts Center retires its mortgage on Sunday
The Charlottesville Municipal Band is making the final mortgage payment on the Municipal Arts Center — and the musicians want everyone to join in the celebration.
The band plans an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Municipal Arts Center to mark the milestone. It’s free. The center, which was completed in 2000, is the band’s home and rehearsal hall and serves as a rehearsal, meeting and performance space for more than 25 arts organizations.
