Nelson’s bluegrass concert raises funds for FFA trip

Sunday’s your chance to hear some energetic bluegrass and help Nelson County’s victorious FFA teams pay their way to a national competition.

The Nelson County FFA will present its Bluegrass Show from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Nelson County High School on U.S. 29 in Lovingston.

Bands performing at the festival include In the Tradition, Deer Creek Boys, Hard Drivin’ Grass and the Little Mountain Boys.

Proceeds will help the agronomy and meats teams, which won at the state level, travel to Indiana for national competition.

There also will be a bake sale, raffles and a silent auction. Additional donations will be accepted.

Doors will open at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10, $5 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children younger than 6. For details, call 263-4801.
