Bruce Springsteen has donated four tickets to his May 5 concert at the John Paul Jones Arena with the E Street Band to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Network. Now fans have a chance to win those seats and help fight hunger at the same time.

If the tickets sell for a combined $10,000 or more, Springsteen will have a backstage meet-and-greet event with the four ticket holders. Springsteen also will match their donations up to $50,000.

To place your bid or get more details, visit http://www.brafb.org or call Ruth Jones at (800) 296-FOOD (3663).

Listeners who are planning to attend the concert are asked to bring canned and nonperishable food items with them to donate. A table will be set up for collecting donated items. Food items most desperately needed include canned meats, canned vegetables, canned fruits, soups, boxed cereals, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti noodles and sauce, rice, dried beans, peanut butter, oatmeal and 100 percent juice.
