Larry the Cable Guy is coming back to the John Paul Jones Arena for a Feb. 20 performance. If tickets would be the right holiday present for someone on your list, there’s now a cheaper way to “Git-R-Done.”

Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Friday for the comedy show, and through 6 p.m. Dec. 12, the arena is offering an “Economic recovery Package” in which select tickets are on a buy-one-get-one-free basis.

Tickets are $44.25 for artist circle seats and, until Dec. 12, two for $44.

Comedian Dan Whitney plays Larry the Cable Guy, who’s known to many fans as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He starred in “Witless Protection,” which was released on DVD in early June, with Ivana Milicevic and Jenny McCarthy. Film fans also know him as the voice of Mater in the Golden Globe-winning animated hit “Cars.”

His latest CD release is “Morning Constitutions.”

For the second consecutive year, he has been named to the Forbes Celebrity 100, which lists the most successful people in the entertainment industry.

Tickets will be available at the arena’s box office, online at http://www.johnpauljonesarena.com or by phone at (888) 575-8497.
