NORFOLK, Va. (AP) _ A Virginia Beach native is headed home after his 15 minutes of fame on ABC’s “The Bachelorette.“

Twenty-five-year-old Chandler Fulton appeared Monday night on the reality series, which lets single men compete for the affections of one woman.

Fulton was eliminated with nine other men in the first episode.

This season’s bachelorette is DeAnna Pappas, a 26-year-old real estate agent.

On each episode, she gives roses to suitors with whom she finds a connection, while sending the others packing. The final show will have one bachelor.

Fulton tried to win a “first impression” rose from Pappas by showing off his duck-calling skills.

It didn’t work.
