‘Oliver!’ brings Dickens of a show

Four County Players will present “Oliver!’’ at 8 tonight, 2:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Barboursville Community Center.
Joncey Boggs is directing a cast that includes Peter Balcke as Oliver, Geri Carlson Sauls as Nancy, Francis Deane as Fagin and Madison Probst as the Artful Dodger.
Also in the cast are Kieran Barlow, Kathy Beall, Joshua Bliss, Steve Bliss, Bryn Bookstaver, Cameron Brasted, Lynne Cates, Kristen Franklin, Nick Heiderstadt, Aaron Hoffman, Charles Lancaster, Henry Lancaster, Jim Loman, Sophie Loman, Allison Moore, Peter Owen, Samantha Reid, Michelle Staller, Kath Torbet, Katy Walker, Heather Waters, Katie Waters, Lauren Waters, Cate Wells, Tres Wells, Abigail Wheat, Andrew Willis, Alex Wolfenbarger, Annie Wolfenbarger and David Zuby.
Greg Harris is musical director, Daniel J. Hager II is set designer, Amy Lynn Hart is costume designer and Tracie Skipper is the lighting designer.
The musical follows young Oliver from the workhouse to the rougher streets of London and finally to a long-lost family.
The well-known songs include “Consider Yourself,” “Food, Glorious Food” and “Where is Love?”
Four County first presented “Oliver!” in 1975.
Tickets are $14, $12 for seniors and students and $10 for children younger than 10.
