DOG TAGS: Purchase from the treasurer’s office. Fees: Spayed or neutered, $4; all others, $8. Kennel tag rates available for owners of several dogs.EMERGENCY: Dial 9-1-1.

LANDFILL: Located on Route 6, one mile south of Route 649. Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday for residential use. $45 per ton for regular refuse and $38 per ton for stumps and brush. A variety of materials are accepted for recycling. Information: 591-1925.

VOTER REGISTRATION: The office in Palmyra is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The registrar of voters is Joyce Pace, 589-3593.

Meetings

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS: First Wednesday of the month at 2 p.m. and third Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Fluvanna County Circuit Court building in Palmyra.

SCHOOL BOARD: Second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the School Board office auditorium. Meeting location may change if necessary.

PLANNING COMMISSION: Fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Fluvanna County Circuit Court building.
