Broken pipe to close White Mountain Road

White Mountain Road in Albemarle County will close to through traffic Wednesday so road crews can replace a stormwater pipe.

The pipe, which runs under the road, is located slightly less than a mile from Route 636 and 1.4 miles from Route 635.

Residents who live in the area will be allowed to use the road, Route 736. Others should use Route 691.

If the weather is foul, the project may be delayed.
