Car crash clogs Gordonsville Road

A Keswick area woman has died after her car went off Gordonsville Road and through a fence near the Keswick Winery, according to Albemarle County police.

Police are still at the site investigating the crash. They say the middle-aged woman, whom they declined to identify pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities expect to be on the scene for some time. Gordonsville Road is down to one lane in the area with intermittent closures and traffic is slow.
