College closed today for electricity repairs

Piedmont Virginia Community College will be without electricity and closed to the public today while Dominion Virginia Power crews repair a damaged power pole on campus.

The repairs come at a time when faculty and students are not expected to be at the college, as fall break runs through Tuesday.

Piedmont’s library, cashier’s office, human resources office, welcome center and other administrative offices will re-open at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Classes resume Wednesday.
