A town meeting will be held this week so residents can talk with Albemarle County staff about Crozet infrastructure projects that are planned or under way.

Projects include a new library, streetscape improvements for Crozet Avenue, the master plan for the new Western Park and the reuse of the Old Crozet School.

Attendees will hear about the progress of the schematic design for the new library. Additional details will be provided about the Crozet Avenue streetscape project, which encompasses pedestrian-friendly improvements such as sidewalks, landscaping and lighting along Crozet Avenue to Tabor Street.

Albemarle project managers are expected to give brief presentations. Attendees can then visit information stations on the projects that they’re most interested in, to participate in detailed discussions.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Western Albemarle High School.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet session.
