CTS adds new bus service for Route 5

The Charlottesville Transit System added four new bus routes and night service for Route 5 over the weekend.

Routes 3A, 6A, 6B and 3B will be replaced by Routes 3, 6, 8 and 9, with some routes increasing service to destinations such as Barracks Road Shopping Center and the University of Virginia. Route 5’s extended night service will run until 11 p.m.

The Downtown Transit Station has view screens at bus stops showing when CTS buses are arriving, and riders may also visit http://www.charlottesville.org/transit to get real-time CTS bus schedules.
