Nighttime paving planned for U.S. 29
Published: July 2, 2009
Overnight paving work on U.S. 29’s northbound lanes from Hydraulic Road to Rio Road and from Hilton Heights Road to Hollymead Road will begin Monday. The work is expected to take four to five weeks to complete.
The work will be done between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. During those times, traffic will be restricted to two lanes between Hydraulic Road and Polo Grounds Road, and to one lane from Polo Grounds Road to Hollymead. Virginia State Police will patrol the project area.
Charlottesville-based S.L. Williamson Co. Inc. is doing the work.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said traffic patterns will change as the project progresses.
