School buses will provide a $5 shuttle service from downtown Charlottesville to Scott Stadium and back for the University of Virginia football game today.

The two shuttle pickup sites are at the Market Street Parking Garage and on Second Street Southeast at the Water Street Parking Garage. The first shuttle will start its route at 1:45 p.m., two hours before kickoff.

Fans may park at either the Water or Market Street garage for $6 and then ride the shuttle to the game. Patrons will be given return tickets as they board. The shuttle picks up at the same location on McCormick Road after the game.

The Charlottesville Transit Service will also detour the city’s free “trolley” service today.

The trolley bus will not travel on Jefferson Park Avenue to the Fry’s Spring neighborhood or through the UVa Central Grounds, including McCormick Road and Alderman Road. Instead, the westbound trolley will travel on Jefferson Park Avenue to Emmet Street and turn right onto University Avenue. From there it will resume its usual eastbound route at the Rotunda.

The detour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will continue until 8 p.m.
