Armed robbery suspect arrested

After a two-day search, Charlottesville police arrested and charged a suspect on Sunday with robbing a 48-year-old city man.

Tevin Romelle Jones, 18, of Charlottesville, was charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, after turning himself in to police Sunday.

The victim was robbed at about 8:30 p.m. Friday near the Lucky Seven store on Grady Avenue, shortly after making a purchase, according to police.

Jones is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
