City man charged in shooting incident

A Charlottesville man was arrested Tuesday after a reported shooting on Jefferson Park Avenue.

Charlottesville police said gunshots were fired around 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the 1900 block of Jefferson Park Avenue.

No one was injured, but police did arrest Clayton Douglas Jr., 19, of Charlottesville, who was charged with attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police said Douglas was involved in an   argument that led to the shooting.

Douglas is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call 977-4000.
