City Wachovia bank robbed

A man robbed the Wachovia Bank at 10th Street Northeast and East High Street shortly after noon Tuesday, making off with cash.

The man used a note to demand cash, said Charlottesville police Lt. Ronnie Roberts.

Police are describing the subject as a white man, about 6 feet tall and thin, with a scruff of facial hair and wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a red-and-black knit cap with strings hanging down from each side and a tassel on top.
