Schools to hold even welcoming principal

Charlottesville City Schools will hold a reception for the new Charlottesville High School principal, Thomas Taylor, and other school staff at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The event will be in the Fellowship Hall of Mount Zion First African Baptist Church at 105 Lankford Ave.

Eight area churches are sponsoring the event.

Taylor joined the Charlottesville school system in July. He was formerly the assistant principal of Landstown High School and Technology Academy in Virginia Beach.
