Fluvanna county commission gives presentations, seeks input on plan

Fluvanna County’s Economic Development Commission will make presentations at several community meetings this year to educate residents about its strategic business plan and ask for input.

The plan aims to retain and support county businesses. At the meetings, the commission will make a 20 to 30 minute presentation and take questions. Five appearances have been scheduled so far:
—Fluvanna Chamber of Commerce: 8 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Ashlawn Fork Union Rescue Squad Building Grille, 41 Ashlawn Blvd. Attendees must pay for the breakfast served at this meeting.
—Planning Commission: 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at the historic courthouse.
—Lake Monticello Owners’ Association: 7 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Terrace Room.
—Rotary Club of Fluvanna County: 8 a.m. Dec. 2 at the Ashlawn Grille. Attendees must pay for the breakfast served at this meeting.
—Fork Union Village Project Inc.: 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Fork Union Rescue Squad Building, Route 6 near U.S. 15.
