A Crimora man accused of robbing three Ruckersville businesses will have his case heard by a grand jury next month.

Brian Eugene Brubaker waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning in Greene County General District Court. His case will be heard Aug. 11 by a grand jury.

Brubaker was charged last month with three counts of robbery in connection with armed robberies in mid-June at Bootville, Food Lion and the Crawford Saddlery.

Brubaker also has been charged with robbery in Harrisonburg relating to an incident June 21 at a Tractor Supply store and has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery of an Augusta County convenience store.
Brubaker was arrested June 21 after the Harrisonburg robbery. Lt. Kurt Boshart of Harrisonburg’s sheriff’s office said a resident called in a tip that led officers to a nearby parking lot. Boshart would not reveal how much money was taken from the Tractor Supply or what Brubaker was doing in the parking lot.
