Cantor to visit area on campaign swing

U.S. Rep. Eric I. Cantor, R-Henrico, will swing through the Charlottes-ville region on Monday as part of a seven-stop campaign tour.

Cantor, a four-term incumbent, is facing Democratic challenger Anita Hartke of Culpeper in the Nov. 4 contest.

Cantor will start his tour in Louisa County, appearing at 9 a.m. at Spark’s Deli at 213 E. Main St., and at 10 a.m. at MeadWestvaco Corp. at 675 Industrial Drive.

Next, Cantor will attend a “countdown to victory rally” at 11:30 a.m. at the Madison County Courthouse.

Cantor will then head to two stops in Orange County. The first, a luncheon at Robinson’s Tavern, will occur at 12:30 p.m. in Locust Grove. Then, at 2 p.m., Cantor will appear at the Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson dealership in Orange.
