A Louisa County grand jury scheduled to meet Sept. 8 will hear the case against a Henrico County man accused of trying to solicit sex from a minor.

Judge Edward K. Carpenter certified the felony count against Julian P. Martin, 54, after a hearing in Louisa General District Court on Thursday.

Martin was arrested July 2 in an undercover operation in which he was communicating on the Internet with an undercover officer with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office posing as a 13-year-old girl, according to Tom Garrett, the county’s commonwealth’s attorney.
