Dominion Virginia Power’s North Anna nuclear plant is back at full generating capacity.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said Monday that the plant’s Unit 1 has been restored to 100 percent capacity after being taken down for refueling in March, then restarted late last week. The plant’s other reactor continued to work at 100 percent capacity during the process.

The Unit 1 reactor was shut down March 7 for its regular 18-month refueling. The process included replacing one-third of its fuel and conducting a 10-year inspection of the reactor vessel.
