Two incumbents are vying for re-election Nov. 4 to the Gordonsville Town Council.

Avis Beasley and Theresa Lewis each have served one term on the council.

Newcomer Maranacci Wilson also is seeking a seat on the six-member board, whose members serve at-large.

With three candidates up for election to the Town Council and three seats that need refilling, Maranacci would be filling a seat being vacated by Richard Wilkinson, who has served on the board since 2004 and is not seeking re-election.

Robert Coiner also is seeking his second term as mayor. He is running unopposed.

The six council members, plus the mayor, each serve four-year terms.

Gordonsville residents will vote at the District 1 East polling center, located on the second floor of Town Hall at 112 S. Main St.

Also, those residents of Orange County who normally vote in District 3 should be advised that their polling center has changed from the Orange Volunteer Fire Company’s house to Prospect Heights Middle School.

The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The deadline to register to vote is Monday.
