A woman turning onto Route 20 in Orange County caused a wreck that killed her and sent eight people, including two people on a school bus, to a hospital, the Virginia State Police said.

Julie P. Loving, 46, turned from Zoar Road and was hit by a Honda Accord traveling on Route 20. The two cars then hit the school bus, which is owned by the Orange County School Board, state police Sgt. F.L. Tyler said.

Only three people were on the bus when the accident occurred: the driver, a 38-year-old woman, and two boys, ages 5 and 9, Tyler said.

The 9-year-old was released to his parents at the scene, Tyler said.

The driver and the 5-year-old were taken to Culpeper Regional Hospital, where they were treated and released, Tyler said.

Loving died as she was being taken to the hospital, Tyler said.
