58th District lucky that Neff wants job
Published: October 27, 2009
Citizens of the 58th District are privileged that Cynthia Neff is running for Rob Bell’s seat in the House of Delegates.
Cynthia is warm, witty and sharply intelligent. Her enlightened views on the environment, education, women’s rights, transportation, health care and economic growth are far more reflective of today’s voters in Central Virginia than the hard-right tilt of her opponent, Rob Bell. Albemarle County voted overwhelmingly Democratic in the 2008 election.
Cynthia is not a lawyer or professional politician. She is a skilled and experienced business manager who once supervised 2,000 people at IBM. She knows about fiscal responsibility and will take that experience with her to Richmond.
Cynthia has met with voters in Albemarle County many times — always exhibiting gracious professionalism and a sincere interest in the needs of others.
She does not need a job in politics and is not looking to climb the political ladder. Her incentive is simply to serve the citizens of the 58th District.
While just about everyone who has met Rob Bell will tell you he is nice guy who cares about his constituents, Bell’s obsession with crime and punishment issues over the past four years comes at the expense of other issues like the environment, education and economic growth.
