A Goode man, in quiet ways
Virgil Goode is a man, and representative, of honor and experience. He has high and unyielding principles and acts upon without compromises.
He has been very good for Virginia and very good for the United States.
He has changed from a Democratic Party affiliation, to an independent, to a Republican because the Democratic Party changed, not him.
This was similar to Ronald Reagan.
He is known as a leader and one to emulate within the House.
Compare that to Tom Perriello, whose credentials are that he lives in Ivy with his mom and dad, he is a wonderful Catholic that tithes, his supporters in his campaign are asked to tithe in kind and he has a lot of ideas.
Why go against what is good and works well? Vote for the one who has a record of accomplishments and who also has ideas, but ones that are based on experience and a mature assessment of problems and opportunities in America.
Virgil does not brag from the front pew; he has performed and does perform charitable works and personally has contributed to numerous charities through the years with no fanfare because his character quietly demands it.
Our district needs to keep this well performing representative in office in these tough times.

“Quiet Goode???“ Quiet Goode???? Sorry, but if votes could talk (and they do) Goode hasn’t been so quiet about his devotion to big oil, healthcare lobbyists, and defense contractors who prop up his campaign season after season.
He also hasn’t been quiet about concocting ugly and libelous statements about his opponent - standing stubbornly behind them even when he knows they’re patently false. The only thing Goode is quiet about seems to be his dismal record in representing the people. Goode voted against health care for children, benefits for Veterans, to name a few - and nary a word was uttered from his offices.
Goode also likes to quietly send notes to members of the district - notes in the form of Pink Slips from closed businesses, notes in the form of 4 buck per gallon gas, and notes like hospital bills for your uninsured child. What Goode needs to do (and quietly) - is to go away.
I just saw an ad on TV slamming Tom Perriello, I wasn’t voting for Goode but now I am looking forward to his defeat.
I’m glad the writer likes Virgil Goode, but he has done precious little to bring federal money or good jobs to our district. I suspect he is either incapable or disinterested. The good people of the fifth district could use road money, better train service, and new employers. It’s time for a change.
