Bell a good neighbor and good legislator

I remember the first time I saw Del. Rob Bell in person. He was walking around with his child in the parking lot of his child’s elementary school. I had voted for him that same year and was a little taken aback by seeing an elected official in such an informal role.
What I came to realize many times over was that Rob wasn’t politicking every time he was in public. Most of the time Rob is just being a dad, a citizen and good neighbor to his community. These are the qualities that have made Del. Rob Bell such an important part of our state government and community. These same qualities that he brings to everyday life are the ones that he takes to Richmond to be our voice.
Working in law enforcement for 14 years has given me an opportunity to see many injustices. Many of these injustices are due to antiquated or insufficient laws.
When several such laws came to my attention, I went to Del. Bell and explained my frustrations. I explained the cases to him that were allowing criminals to use loopholes and legal wrangling to sneak through the system and go unpunished for their heinous crimes.
I saw something that I had never before witnessed. I saw Del. Bell stop being a politician and he became a father and a citizen with a voice for all parents and citizens. Del. Bell used his “voice” and took these injustices to Richmond and worked diligently to have them corrected.
This is the type of work that Del. Bell does year in and year out. He works with law enforcement and citizens and gives them a voice in Richmond. He has consistently shown that he is our delegate in Richmond. He listens to our concerns and champions our causes.
I am grateful for Del. Bell, for Rob and for the father who is working just as hard as I am to make sure that our children have a better community to flourish in.
