County lucky that Slutzky will serve

The Daily Progress article of Oct. 17, “Slutzky takes lead in county fundraising,” quotes Mark Fried of Crozet as saying of David Slutzky, “He is the brightest, best informed and most knowledgeable person running for a board seat.” I agree.
Furthermore, his education and experience offer him excellent qualifications for dealing with the complicated problems of modern county government. He has proposed real solutions to many of our challenges.
We need his leadership for fully funding our schools, for rural area protection, economic vitality, transportation solutions and our water supply plan. We are very fortunate that he is willing to serve on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors for another term. We need to re-elect David Slutzky on Nov. 3.
