Cummings would be worthy successor

In a very short while voters in Samuel Miller District will have an opportunity to elect to the Board of Supervisors a man with the experience, skills and temperament to make an important contribution to Albemarle County. Madison Cummings has served the county for eight years on the School Board — he understands the needs and workings of the school system and will continue to work for an exceptional education for our children.
He understands smart growth whereby development and environmental protection can work together. He has served on numerous county and University of Virginia committees and service organizations. He will make a fine successor to Sally Thomas, and I urge everyone in Samuel Miller District to vote for him on Nov. 3.
