Del. Bell cares for community

This past Memorial Day I visited a Vietnam War museum with my family. I was delighted when Del. Rob Bell made an appearance at the event, sitting in the back of an old Huey helicopter conversing with the veterans.
I have two sons that have chosen to serve in the military so, needless to say, I feel it is important for our local representatives to show their support for our military.
I was even more delighted that Del. Bell took that opportunity to talk with my sons and ask their views on the important political issues going on in Virginia. If we want future generations to be involved in the political process of this great country, we need to involve them at a young age.
Rob has a history of involving young people in his campaigns. When my son decided he was interested in volunteering in the Republican Party at the tender age of 10, Rob Bell created a position on his team for a young man who had no experience but a great passion for doing the right thing and an interest in his nation’s government.
Rob has always been there to encourage the area’s youth. I have seen Rob volunteer his time with the Boy Scouts of America over the years. He has taken the initiative to follow up with these future leaders by inviting them to Richmond to introduce them to their government in action and taking a genuine interest in their success.
Del. Bell has been available to write recommendation letters and to offer opportunities to help the young people in the community reach their potential, even when the expense came from his own pocket.
Del. Bell cares about the people in his community. As a native of Charlottesville, I am grateful that we have a representative like Rob fighting for our rights and those of future generations.
