Enough grandstanding, just get to the point
John McCain, Barack Obama, et al.: Enough!
In fact, more than enough.
Enough talking. Stop avoiding the questions. Please: Answer the questions as asked.
We don’t want to hear how great the American people are, how hard working the middle class is or what a fine job our soldiers are doing. You’ve said that ad nauseam. We know it. You waste time.
Give us something worthwhile. We are not stupid. High platitudes and political garbage do not help us make meaningful decisions. Get to the point. Trite verbiage takes us nowhere. Lead.
Enough historical self-aggrandizements. Your past got us where we are now. Deal with today. It’s not yesterday. Things have changed, radically.
Enough vapid, politically correct reactions to major problems and violations of the public trust. Get mad!
We are.
AIG just spent almost half-million dollars on a boondoggle and no one leaned across the desk, stared at the irresponsible crooks and said: “You have shafted the public and you won’t get away with it.”
How do you expect us to take you seriously if you don’t stand up and show some backbone?
Enough of our paying for your incompetence: We want to strip you of your pensions, your housing allowance, your chauffeured car, your secret service protection and all the other perks you have that suck us dry. Live like we do. See how that works for you.
Enough of the name-calling: You’re all incompetent on hundreds of points. Focus on what you are going to do and whom you’re going to get to help you, and never, never, never respond to an attack ad. Be better. That’s what we want, need and expect.
If you win, you will have a Herculean job ahead of you. You had best work now to get the public on your side. If not, you’ll find that the “enough” we have had to date will look minuscule. If you do, we’ll move mountains for you. Just ask us!
You choose, and choose now.

Well said, Floyd. The saddest thing about our so-called leaders is how badly they underestimate our ability to distinguish truth from rhetoric. It’s sad that they speak to the lowest common denominator when the majority of us our desperately seeking something meaningful to hold on to.
