Follow these ideas for health care reform

Increase availability, protect quality and control costs of our national health care, but don’t destroy it.
Consider the following:
l Limit Medicare and Medicaid to major medical (catastrophic) care, universal coverage, with government support, and individual premiums indexed for lower income participants.
l Provide a savings plan of some $5,000 annually to lower income families for their use with minor and elective medical expenses. Any surplus at the end of the year will be given to the family.
l All payments, government and private, for medical services, facilities and material will be at the local free-market level.
l Immigration regulations will be adjusted to encourage the entry of physicians, nurses and medical
supporting personnel, to compensate for the increased demand anticipated.
l Allow insurance providers complete national freedom in a free-market operation.
l Where litigation charges are determined frivolous by a judiciary, all court and defense costs will be paid by the complainant.
l Establish a limited consortium of professionals, experienced with the disciplines involved and without any anticipated quid quo pro or re-election ambitions, to review the national health care, and document, with all the small print, definitions, objectives and implementation provisions for submission to Congress.

Couldn’t giving $5000.00 to all low income families get expensive? And then if they dont use it all give them whats left at the end of a year? Why do that? I thought that money should be earned. Who pays for that plan? You and me?
All payments for private sevices ARE at the local free market level. This is precisely what the social progressives are trying to get control of.
Adjust immigration so we can get more doctors? Americas universities train most of the medical doctors in the world. If left to the free market system, there will always be enough doctors to go around.
The litigation charges are not bourne by the complatant, they are sholdered by the lawyers making millions off the people they are finding in the ambulances they are chasing.
Your last suggestion has been done by every insurance company in the health care business.
Government has no business in business, any business. Every business the government has regulated has gone south very quickly. Read our constitution, there is not a single word that gives government the right to tell me what health insurance plan to buy. Or the right to force me to purchase for my employees. OR, the right to fine me if I refuse. Thats a fact.
